Redesign Logistics Booking

Context
DrayEasy is a B2B logistics SaaS platform offering the first instant rate engine for container drayage, covering 95%+ of lanes across 100+ North American intermodal regions. As the product design lead for booking feature, I reconfigured booking experience over a 16-week engagement with a cross-functional team and multiple rounds of client engagement with freight agents and small-to-medium cargo owners.
Description
DrayEasy's rate engine solved instant quoting — but the booking step that followed didn't match freight agents' mental models: a single "lock in a rate" decision was split across three confusing paths, information lacked hierarchy and specificity, and entering 20+ near-identical containers per order was slow. I redesigned the flow around four clear steps (Route, Container, Carrier, Confirmation), clarified required fields, and built a scalable design system — cutting order-placement time by 70%.
